NEWS AND NOTES:

All participants will be required to provide their own game pants, belt and socks for the season. Pants are to be black in color. Socks and belts will be orange. MYS will provide each player with a hat.

Stay tuned for upcoming announcements regarding field day and our parent meeting. Most likely, we will combine these events into one day.

OUR PURPOSE:

We have programs for boys and girls from pre-school age through 8th grade. Our goal is continuous development of all age levels. Fundamental skills are the primary focus and a constant throughout the levels.

FIELDS:

We play at fields at the Molalla Middle School, Mulino Elementary School and Grace Church. We will organize a field day to clean up the fields before the season starts. We are unable to spray any chemicals on the fields to deal with weeds. Field day helps us to get the fields ready for our kids to play on. We do everything from removing weeds from the infields to painting of the dugouts, boxes, etc.. All materials are provided. All we need from you would be basic yard tools, willingness to help, and a couple hours of your time.

GAMES:

Games are played all week long at the Molalla area schools! We would love to see you come down to cheer on these young athletes!

COACHES:

We are working on getting a coaches clinic for the coaches this year. We are speaking with the High School Staff as well as a local baseball instruction company. All coaches must pass a background check. If you are interested in coaching either as a head coach or assistant coach please sign up on the website.

UMPIRES:

We are in the process of making a list of people wanting to umpire. We have a local umpire that will certify you. Once certified you will be able to make $40-$50 a game. Not bad for a couple hours of "work". Come on out and help our program while putting a little money in your pocket.

PARENTS:

We will be having a parent meeting before the beginning of the season to help answer any of your questions!

PLAYERS:

Play hard and have fun!

SPONSORS:

We are looking for banner sponsors for our fields and equipment needs. We have three levels of sponsorships $300 gets a small banner, $500 gets a large banner, and $1000 gets you a large banner on field of your choice.

UNIFORMS:

We will use the uniforms for 2 years; if you lose or damage your uniforms you will be required to buy the uniform.

COMMITTEE NOTES:

We at the baseball committee want to thank you all for playing baseball for MYS this year. It takes a lot of work by a bunch of volunteers to get baseball organized, and we are happy to do the work. We have always said if you need anything please let one of us know. If you are interested in joining the baseball committee, we are always looking to grow.
